Choir sings in Spain to record crowds

Excerpt from the Register-Mail:

While many of their fellow students were hanging out at home or taking week-long road trips during spring break, 59 Knox College Choir members immersed themselves in the language, culture and sights of Spain.

For the third time in five years, the choir trekked overseas to spend several days giving concerts and touring a place most had never seen. Previous Spanish tours were conducted in 2003 and 2006…..

…..“We had some extraordinary performance opportunities this time,” said Laura Lane, professor of music and director of choral activities at Knox. “I knew that the reason for touring with a college choir is to bond them closer to each other … to get them to have a unique and wonderful experience that will help the music.”
