Knox baseball team & coach take conference awards

The Knox College baseball team placed six players on the Midwest Conference All-Conference Team, including South Division Player and Coach of the Year.

Coach Jami Isaacson received COY honors for the third time in his career. The Prairie Fire went 11-4 over the last month to finish 15-23 and won the MWC Championship.

Senior outfielder Paul Bennett earned POY honors and is a three-time first team all-conference selection. He leads the Prairie Fire in batting average (.385), runs (33), hits (47), doubles (11), home runs (7), RBI (26), total bases (79), and slugging percentage (.648).

Third baseman Luke Hunter and pitchers Sam Almohandis and Colin Davis were also on the first team while first baseman Greg Leibach and outfielder Kevin Malone were named to the second team.
