Commencement: A sign of changing times
New Trustee Sue Deans reflects on Knox’s Commencement.

In 1970, members of my graduating class at Knox College wore ordinary clothing, not caps and gowns, when we walked across the stage to get our diplomas…..
….Earlier this month, I revisited the scene of that graduation. This time, 38 years later, I did wear a cap and gown. This time, I’m part of the Knox establishment — last June I was elected to the Board of Trustees. This was my first commencement ceremony as a trustee.
