“Emily Cline knew her Knox College women’s basketball team was set up for a big season, but the 10th-year coach never expected anything quite like this… Cline, a graduate of Harmony (Iowa) High School, had almost everyone back from a team which finished fifth in the Midwest Conference last season… Knox College finished [2018] with a 16-9 record, including 11-5 in the Midwest Conference, the most conference wins in program history.

They qualified for the conference tournament by finishing in the top four, the first time in 21 seasons they have advanced to the conference tournament… “I was hopeful we would have a good season. I won’t say I expected this, but I was definitely hopeful,” Cline said…

Cline was a five-sport letterwinner at Harmony, where she played volleyball, basketball and softball and ran track and cross country for the Rockets.
