The award for career achievements is named for legendary DePaul men’s basketball coach Ray Meyer and Chicago attorney Bill Harte.

Massey’s teams have won 13 Conference championships, 23 regionals – 18 of those in a row – and nine straight sectional. He has taken four teams to the IHSA final four. In the past 30 years, Massey’s teams have won 20 or more games 27 times.

He was inducted into the IBCA Hall of Fame in 2000, just one of five Hall of Fames that calls him a member. The others are the National Coaches Hall of Fame, the Northwest Illinois Hall of Fame, the Galesburg High School Hall of Fame and the Knox College Hall of Fame… Read more…
