Alumnus known for trial strategy and work on federal investigations and criminal defense named partner at San Francisco law firm

Jamal Sadat Muhammad ’99 has been named partner at the San Francisco law firm Riley Safer Holmes & Cancila LLP. He joins the firm after spending the last seven years as a trial attorney for Federal Defenders of San Diego, which represents indigent persons accused of criminal offenses. Muhammad has experience in both the public sector and private practice, handling criminal trials and federal investigations, international investigations crossing multiple jurisdictions and countries, as well as civil investigations involving derivative shareholder litigation, sexual harassment, wire fraud, mail fraud, and honest services fraud.
