Rootabaga has gypsy, jams and piano

From the Register-Mail:

This year’s Knox-Rootabaga Jazz Festival will feature an authentic Gypsy jazz band from central Illinois and a New York-based trio headlined by a renowned jazz pianist playing alongside the best of local and regional jazz musicians.

Beginning a week from today with a jam session at McGillacuddy’s, the 29th annual festival features all kinds of jazz, from the Django Rheinhardt-inspired stylings of John Miller and the Romaniacs to the Aaron Goldbert Trio, touted by the Boston Globe as “one of the era’s definitive piano trios.”
