Author’s reception at Knox relatively tame

From the Peoria Journal Star:

A quiet crowd at Knox College’s Kresge Hall listened Tuesday to Jonah Goldberg, best-selling author of “Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left from Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning.”

A nationally syndicated political columnist, Goldberg is an editor of National Review and a regular contributor to the Journal Star’s opinion pages.

“He speaks to a younger audience than, say, Ashcroft, who’s more polarizing,” said Kelly Walsh, president of the Knox College Republicans, who brought Goldberg to Galesburg. Of the man who also is the online editor at the National Review, Walsh added, “He’s very low-key.”
