Knox crashes 2010 win column 31-21

The Knox College football team is winless no more.

In front of a sun-drenched Parents Weekend crowd at the Knosher Bowl, the Prairie Fire beat Grinnell 31-21 on Saturday for coach Chad Eisele’s first win at Knox.

“That’s a pretty good team we beat today,” said Eisele.  “We didn’t back down and took it to them and you saw the results.”

Knox is now 1-4 in the Midwest Conference and 1-5 overall while Grinnell is 3-2 in the league and 4-2 overall. The Pioneers opened their MWC season by beating defending champion Monmouth 17-15 and knocking out All-American quarterback Alex Tanney for the season.
