Knox is hoping a big alumni turnout at Homecoming will give the Prairie Fire the spark they need to bring “home” a win.
Excerpt from the Register-Mail:
The last time the Knox College Prairie Fire displayed offensive consistency, they rolled over Grinnell College 38-7 two weeks ago in the Knox Bowl.
An inconsistent effort by Knox last week saw the Fire come home from Lawrence with a 51-20 loss.
“We have to develop some consistency right now,” said Knox coach Andy Gibbons as his team prepared for Saturday’s 1:30 p.m. homecoming game with Carroll College. “We played our best game of the year at Grinnell and at Lawrence we played our worst game of the year.
“If we play the way we did against Grinnell, we’ve got a great shot against Carroll.”
