The Donham Prize is awarded annually for the best essay written in a Knox history course. The Hane Prize is awarded for the best essay on an Asian topic written in any Knox course.  Papers from any of the last three terms are eligible (Spring term, 2011, through Winter term, 2012). The contests will be judged by a referee external to the History Department. Submit your essays to Debra Polillo, Old Main 208, no later than Friday, April 13. Submit only one essay for each contest. Papers on Asian topics should be submitted to the Hane contest; all others to the Donham. If you have any questions, call George Steckley at Ext. 7335.
