Auditions for Prairie Players Civic Theatre’s production of Andrew Bergman’s “Social Security” have been announced by director, Mel Agar ’93. Auditions will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19 and Tuesday, March 20 at the Prairie Players theatre, 160 South Seminary Street. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
“Social Security” is a fun-filled show about a married couple who are art dealers and whose domestic tranquility is shattered upon the arrival of the wife’s goody goody nerd of a sister and her uptight CPA husband. They drop off her archetypal Jewish mother for an undetermined stay, and the comic sparks really begin to fly when the mother hits it off with the elderly minimalist artist who is also the art dealers’ best client.
Production dates are: May 17-20, 2012, at the Sandburg Mall Theatre.
The cast requires 3 men and 3 women. If you have questions or audition conflicts, contact director Mel Agar via email at or by calling the PPCT theatre at 309-343-7728.
