In celebration of two significant anniversaries – 175 years for Knox College and 60 years for the Knox-Galesburg Symphony (KGS) – the two have partnered to display a photo exhibit in the Blick Gallery at the Galesburg Civic Art Center through May 12. Knox will exhibit photos that illustrate the campus and major events spanning the College’s 175-year history. The KGS exhibit features photos of special events, concerts, educational programs and past conductors from the past 60 years.
The public is invited to the exhibit opening from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 20. Dr. Bruce Polay and Karrie Heartlein will be on hand to share historical remarks. Light refreshments will be served.
The Galesburg Civic Art Center is open Tuesdays through Fridays 10:30am to 4:30pm and Saturdays 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information contact the Galesburg Civic Art Center, 114 E. Main Street by calling 309-342-7415.
