The Knox-Galesburg Symphony (KGS) will feature world-renowned pianist Mikhail Petukhov at its 60th Anniversary April 28 concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Orpheum Theatre, Galesburg. The KGS, under the direction of artistic director/conductor Bruce Polay, will perform Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 and McClellan’s “Gone Today” for Orchestra. Petukhov will perform Bach’s Concerto in D minor and Concerto in E Major.
Single concert tickets start at $8.00 with children and students admitted half-price. With I.D., Knox students are half price; faculty/staff receive 20% discount. Tickets are available at the Orpheum Theatre Ticket Office (309-342-2299), 250 East Main St., Galesburg or at the door.
Tickets are still available for the May 12 “Celebrate Mom at the Pops” concert featuring the Best of Broadway tunes with Terry Cavanaugh as host.
