Tickets Now Available For Polay Piano Commentary/Recital, April 27

The Knox-Galesburg Symphony (KGS) and West Music (Moline, IL) present Dr. Bruce Polay and “Old Friends,” a piano recital with commentary on Friday, April 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Orpheum Theater. Polay will perform some of his favorite works for solo piano and will offer historical and entertaining comments about each work and composer.
The program will consist of works by “old friends” including Debussy’s “Lent” from “Images” (1894), deFalla’s “7 Popular Spanish Songs,” Rachmaninoff’s Etude-Tableau IV, Schubert’s “Wanderer Fantasy,” and Polay’s Etude No. 2 (world premiere) among others.
Patrons will be seated, on a first-reserve basis, on the Orpheum Theatre stage with Polay at the concert Steinway.
Advance tickets at $10.00 each are available only by calling the KGS Office at 309-341-7268 or by email to pstrickl@knox.edu. Tickets at $14.00 each will be available at the door. Children under 12 are Free. Admission reduced to $5 for Knox Students, Faculty & Staff.
