Relay for Life, July 13-14. Join the fight.

Posted on June 29th, 2012.

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Knox County comes to the Knox campus July 13-14. The overnight event brings together the community in the battle to beat cancer, to celebrate the lives of those who have cancer, and to remember those who have lost the battle.
Teams of local businesses, schools, churches, community groups and families are invited to raise funds prior to and at the event. Funds will support cancer research and provide aid to local programs working to help people stay well, get well, and fight back. Live music and food will be available after 5 pm. Opening Ceremonies begin at 6:30 pm. The Luminaria Ceremony will be held at 9 p.m. — just after dark — to honor and remember loved ones.
The Relay for Life of Knox County is currently seeking teams, donations, and volunteers for the event. For more information on how to get involved in Relay For Life of Knox County, contact the American Cancer Society at 800-322-4337 (option 3 to talk to the local office) or visit www.relayforlife.org/knoxil.
