On November 3, Owen Muelder, director of Knox’s Underground Railroad Freedom Center, will join historians from Colgate, Harvard, Holy Cross, Simmonds College, and the University of Nottingham, who will give presentations about African American resistance to slavery at the Social Science History Association’s Annual Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia. Muelder’s presentation will be an overview of the Underground Railroad in the United States before the Civil War.
