Jack Ohman, a nationally syndicated political cartoonist who was a finalist for a 2012 Pulitzer Prize, will be on campus on Friday, Oct. 26, and has offered to meet with interested Knox folks to talk about his work and the field of editorial cartooning. He will be in the Gizmo at 2 p.m., meeting with journalism students and faculty, and anyone interested in learning more about this important field is encouraged to join us.
Ohman, father of Jules Ohman ’12 and currently a KnoxCorps member, has been an editorial cartoonist at the Portland Oregonian since 1983. His work is carried in more than 300 papers nationwide. He has won many national awards, including a Scripps Howard Journalism Award (2012), Society of Professional Journalists Award (2010), and a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award (2009).
