Douglas Wilson, Lincoln Studies Center, was invited to contribute to “Lincoln: A President for the Ages,” a book published by PublicAffairs Press to mark the opening of Steven Spielberg’s new film “Lincoln.” The contributions are all aimed at putting Lincoln’s ideas and actions as President in a contemporary perspective. Wilson’s essay is entitled “‘Public Opinion is Everything:’ Lincoln the Communicator.”
