Chocolate Festival is Feb. 16-17

Galesburg Historical Soci­ety’s annual Chocolate Fes­tival, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., at The Galesburg Antiques Mall, third floor, 349 E. Main Street. Annual festival featuring homemade and commercially made choco­late treats. $8 per person.

Natalie Veneziano Memorial Ultimate Frisbee Tournament

Knox students and alumni will compete with Ultimate teams from around the region at the 2013 Natalie Veneziano Memorial Ultimate Tournament, February 16-17.

The event is named in memory of Natalie Veneziano, a 1998 Knox graduate and Ultimate player who died of leukemia in 2004.

Caxton Club Features Kristen-Paige Madonia, Feb. 15

On Friday, February 15, at 4 o’clock in the Alumni Room Caxton Club will host a reading featuring Kristen-Paige Madonia.

Madonia is the author of Fingerprints of You, a young adult literary novel recently published by Simon & Schuster. Her short fiction has appeared in many publications including Upstreet, New Orleans Review, American Fiction and Sycamore Review, and she has received awards or fellowships from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, the Vermont Studio Center, the Juniper Summer Writing Institute, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Hedgebrook Writers’ Retreat, Millay Colony for the Arts, the Key West Literary Seminar, and The Studios of Key West.

Kristen-Paige currently lives in Charlottesville, Virginia where she teaches creative writing and is at work on her second novel.
