The Edgar S. and Ruth W. Burkhardt Lecture in History
Friday, April 26
Alumni Room, Old Main
The Edgar S. and Ruth W. Burkhardt Lecture in History, by Catherine Denial, associate professor of history, is entitled, “More Questions Than Answers: The Strange Case of Margaret McCoy’s 1840 Divorce.” The Edgar S. and Ruth W. Burkhardt Fund for History and the Burkhardt Lecture Series which it supports are the gifts of two dedicated and beloved Knox alumni, who have served their alma mater faithfully over a span of more than sixty years. Richard and Dorothy Burkhardt, both members of the Class of 1939, deserve a great debt of gratitude from the entire Knox community for their generosity in establishing the Fund in memory of Richard’s parents.
This event is sponsored by the Edgar S. and Ruth W. Burkhardt Fund for History.
