Nova Singers Spring Concert
Saturday, April 6
7:30 PM
Kresge Recital Hall, Ford Center for the Fine Arts

Nova’s guest artist for its spring concerts this weekend is classical guitarist, Fareed Haque. This is truly a unique concert, featuring Fareed on music by Dowland (16th century lute songs), A Procession Winding Around Me, set to poems by Walt Whitman, and the playful Romancero by film composer Castelnuovo-Tedesco. You’ll feel like you’re in Madrid or Barcelona, hearing Spanish folk musicians. Come hear Nova Singers change their sound, from light and clear for the 16th century Dowland madrigals, to clear and pure for the modern Procession, to full, rich and voluptuous for the Spanish songs. Saturday, 7:30, Kresge. Tickets are available at the door; $18 for adults, $15 for seniors, all students free.
Additional performance Sunday, 4:00 p.m., First Congregational Church Moline, on 7th Avenue, Moline, Illinois.
