Tim Kasser, Psychology, recently had a chapter entitled “Materialistic values and goals” published in the Annual Review of Psychology.
Todd Heidt, modern languages, was named Program Director for the German Studies Association’s 40th Annual Conference (upcoming in 2016). The GSA is the largest professional organization dedicated to interdisciplinary study of German, Austrian and Swiss history and culture in the world. The annual conference attracts scholars from around the world. The conference typically features approximately 1,300 scholarly presentations organized into over 300 panels, roundtables and seminars. In conjunction with the Executive Director, the Program Director is responsible for leading the 13 member Program Committee which peer-reviews and selects papers, roundtables and seminars for inclusion in the conference. Heidt was appointed by GSA President Professor Irene Kacandes (Dartmouth Professor of German Studies and Comparative Literature, Dartmouth College).
