Tim Kasser (Psychology) recently gave numerous talks while in Europe. First, he was an invited keynote speaker at the GLAMURS conference in Brussels, Belgium (sponsored by the European Commission); he spoke on “Living both well and sustainably: Research insights and policy suggestions”. He then gave a series of talks in Hungary, all sponsored by the Keteg-Oikonomia Foundation. He gave talks on “Capitalism, materialistic values, and quality of life: An empirical, psychological approach” at Corvinus University, University of Kaposvar, Semmelweis University, and University of Debrecen. Kasser also gave a seminar on “Values & Goals” at Semmelweis University and a public talk on “Growing up under Consumerism: Effects on Children’s Values and Well-being” at Parbeszed Haza.
