This summer a lot of windows are being cleaned and painted around campus. Every campus window is getting cleaned this summer by a crew of two Knox students and the windows around Old Main are being cleaned and repainted by a crew of five painters. While this will likely go unnoticed to many students and faculty, it has led to a large number of glass related photographs of their work during the past two weeks.
Right Top: Two painters work carefully on the trim on second floor windows on Old Main on Thursday, June 27.
Right Center: Junior Michael O’Connell works to replace a window on the third floor of GDH on Friday, June 29. The window washing crew has cleaned all of SMC and the Seymour Library and will be finishing GDH soon.
Right Bottom: Junior Jake Hawrylak squeegees a window on the third floor of GDH on Friday, June 29. Each window is removed from the window frame and then cleaned inside the building.
Above: Workers from FirstGlass remove cover glass on the third floor of Old Main so painting can be completed on the trim on Thursday, July 5. The piece of glass covering the trim had to be removed by the glass company due to the odd shape and difficulty of removal.
