Planting Trees

Grounds crews were out early this morning planting a new Autumn Blaze Pear tree near the Center for Intercultural Life in the Quads residence area. Despite the tree’s name, it only produces small ornamental fruits and won’t produce any pears for student enjoyment. The tree produces numerous flowers in the spring, and the leaves turn bright colors in the fall, which will easily make up for the lack of large fruit. The mature growing height of the tree is around 30 feet.
