National Library Week, April 12th - 18th
The Knox College Library will host several events to celebrate National Library Week.
Monday, April 13th - LC Egg Hunt (Seymour Library, Andrews Forum, 4pm)
How well do you know the Library of Congress classification system? Teams of 2-3 students will test their skill using the library catalog’s new feature “Text me this call number”. Interested teams should register at the Seymour Library circulation desk.
Tuesday, April 14th – Happy Library Worker Day!
Did you know that the library employs 16 full and part-time employees and over 70 students? Be sure to thank them for their efforts today!
Galesburg Public Library – Land of Lincoln Statewide Read: Connecting with Mr. Lincoln, a talk by Dr. Edward Carwardine. Dr. Carwardine is the only British author to win the prestigious Lincoln Prize awarded by the Lincoln and Soldiers Institute at Gettysburg College. He will be speaking at Galesburg Public Library at 6:30pm.
Wednesday, April 15th – Book Give-away
Free books in the Seymour Library lobby all day!
Thursday, April 16th – Trivia Contest (Muelder Reading Room, 4-6pm)
Feel like your liberal arts education has exposed you to just about everything? Test that theory with the Knox Library Trivia Contest. Open to teams of 4-6 students; sign-up your team at the Seymour Library circulation desk. Space is limited so register early!
Friday, April 17th – Caxton Club (Seymour Library, 4pm)
Chris Kraus is a filmmaker and the author of I Love Dick and Aliens & Anorexia, and coeditor of Hatred of Capitalism: A Semiotext(e) Reader. Index called her “one of the most subversive voices in American fiction.” Her work has been praised for its damning intelligence, vulnerability and dazzling speed.

Galesburg Public Library - April 1 through April 26. Life on the Mississippi - An exhibit of photographs by Knox College Alumnus, Jenna L. Price. The photographs feature contemporary life of people living along the Mississippi river and was previously displayed at Knox College.
