Trial Databases for Winter 2010

Knox College has access to the ISI Web of Knowledge collection of databases through April 2, 2010. This collection includes the following databases.

  • Science Citation Index Expanded® 1975-present
  • Social Sciences Citation Index® 1975-present
  • Arts & Humanities Citation Index® 1975-present
  • Conference Proceedings Citation Index™ Science (1990-present) and Social Science & Humanities (1990-present)

In addition, the platform also includes Derwent Innovations Index (SM) (1966-present) and Medline® (1950 - present).

Training information and tutorials are available on the ISI web site. This trial lasts through April 2, 2010.

In addition, the Library is hosting a trial of the Scopus database. Scopus provides indexing for over 15,000 peer-reviewed journals in the sciences, technology fields, medicine and social sciences from 1996 to the present. Coverage also includes conference proceedings, trade publications and book series. This trial lasts through March 15, 2010.

Please note, if you have difficulty using some functionality within Scopus, it may be necessary to access Scopus using the Scopus secure login URL. This URL will require you to accept an unsigned security certificate first before you can access the database.

The Library also has the ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials on a trial basis. This database covers journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays in all fields of religion with ATLA’s online collection of major religion and theology journals. The ATLA Religion Database includes more than 555,000 article citations from more than 1,656 journals (518 currently indexed), more than 232,000 essay citations from over 16,700 multi-author works, and more than 511,000 book review citations. Full text is provided for more than 266,000 electronic articles and book reviews. This database is produced by the American Theological Library Association.This trial lasts until May 29, 2010.
