- Chaucer Metapage encourages Chaucer studies by providing an organized set of links to Chaucer material on the web.
- The EServer (formerly the English Server) is a huge collection of links to English literature and related web sites in the Humanities.
- The Labyrinth provides links to resources for Medieval studies.
- Links to Places Literary…, created by the English Dept. at the University of Dundee, is a well-organized list of links to both its own web resources and other major literary sites on the web. One of the most useful resources developed by the unviersity is its series of Web Concordances.
- LION (Literature Online) via the Chadwyck-Healy search interface, is a fully searchable library of more than 350,000 works of English and American poetry, drama and prose, 154 full-text literature journals, and other key criticism and reference resources. (Knox only)
- The MLA Bibliography covers language and literature topics. It indexes journal articles, dissertations, books, and book chapters written in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. (Knox only)
- NVSA’s list of Victorian Web Sites: The Northeast Victorian Studies Association has selected what they see as the most essential Victorian sites on the web. Coverage is interdisciplinary, and an extensive list of individual author sites is included.
- Oxford English Dictionary
- Romantic Links, Electronic Texts, Home Pages is a great site for finding scholarly information on the Romantic Period of English Literature. This site has links to texts, author sites, and various projects, but what makes it particularly useful are its links to course materials and the home pages of romantic scholars.
- Voice of the Shuttle English Literature is one of the most comprehensive groupings of web sites dealing with English literature.
